Well I thought I better start preparing for Christmas so on Tuesday I started work on my daughters kindy teachers present and this is what happened....got the idea from the Kaiser craft blog the background is similar but I changed all the flowers and butterflies I hand made all the flowers and used butterfly stickers from Riot crafts which I stuck to acetate and cut out and bent to give dimension, added some organza curtains and voila


as you can see I've only just finished it and couldn't wait to photograph it(mod podge is still wet)

Health wise doing ok need to go back to specialist soon but nothing too serious he just wants to keep an eye on thing for the time being.

And lastely you may have noticed i have changed my blog now all that is left to do is come up with a new header but not sure how to do that... I'm thinking something crafty. Stay tuned!!

Update

Well here I am..have been busy,tired and very busy in the last month, not getting alot of crafting done can't seem to get my self to my desk lately...having some health issues ATM that may result in an operation in the future(need to wait until I see the specialist to confirm)but explains why I am so tired...have had an extra house guest (last week) Hoping to get some crafty time in the school holidays and some time to play with my new sewing machine that I have had for just over a week now ..my first digital machine now I just need to learn how to use it..lol
My oldest is 8 next week my how time flies ...she is having a friend over for a sleepover her very first one.
My littlest is growing soooo quick nearly 10 months old....my new favourite photo!!


Some cards I made for kids friends birthday parties over the holidays all using Cricut ...Once upon a princess...





Will share some layouts as soon as I get some done...lol

Sunshine

The SUN is finally out...it has been windy, cold and wet for the past week real miserable winter weather.

Not much creating happening here.
But I must mention something I forgot to mention in my last blog...the buttons used on my layout were from the lovely Sam at Purple Pumpkin...you can find her link in the side bar still having trouble adding links to my posts.

So here are 5 things you might not know about me

1.I don't really like to start projects that are going to take more than an afternoon or weekend to do as I get bored.

2.I love all things pretty especially flowers on my pages.

3.I buy way too many scrap supplies that I may never use...(don't we all)

4.I don't like the hot weather (40C heat does not agree with me)

5.I really really really do not like HOUSEWORK!!!

P.S I went out and bought another metre of fabric to make those school pants for Miss Steph and YAY I managed to get them right.

Layout

Only one Layout done over the weekend...it turned out a disatrous crafting weekend could not do anything first i copied the pattern for the pants i had planned wrong ...noticed after i cut the fabric then i joined a piece to try and fix the problem all good until i sewed the wrong pieces together and broke 2 needles so at this stage i gave up ...$20 down the drain.

Layout turned out good I think



going to scrap group tomorrow that might help!!!;)

Road Trip

Last weekend saw us travel to Sydney with a stop in Canberra for the Craft and Quilt Fair of course!!! We set out for Canberra on Friday morning only to notice before we left town that we had a puncture in one of our tyres... luckily we were just around the corner from the tyre shop. it was a very long trip but my Darlings coped very well. We arrived in Sydney to a home cooked meal by my Grandmother. Followed by lots of shopping on Saturday and a visit to the Cemetry on Sunday..last weekend also marked the last time I saw my Granddad alive(2 years ago)...so sad...

On a lighter note here is a lovely photo of my girls with their Great Grandmother..they just adore her.



No crafting happening here at the moment just can't get my head around it. Have some projects planned for the weekend starting with a new pair of school pants for Miss Steph, A skirt for Miss Victoria and some scrapbooking if i get time..that mojo better come back sooooon.

put this machine on layby this week will be great when i get to use it...I currently have an old Singer that is circa 40 years old,that got handed to me by hubby's grandad before he passed ...it has had a lot of use and alot of sentiment.

Will leave it there going to tidy my craft area ready to Get Crafty. Have a great weekend all...

A card for our neighbours who are going to live in Dubai



This layout was a challenge @ my local store...the challenge was a sketch but the edges of the page needed to be dressed up no straight edges allowed..I crocheted the edges with thick wool.
