Thankyou and the cupboard the dad built!

First and for most a Big Thank you to all the lovely ladies that left comments on my last post it just makes my day to read them....I wanted to thank every one individually but blogger is giving me a hard time it won't allow me to post comments on blogs where to comments are to be left at the bottom of the post but it will if it's a pop out screen or if it's the sort that you write the comment on the side if that makes sense. Can anyone help with this problem????? So thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Secondly.....
My dad built me a new cupboard to go in my scrap space, my scrap space is a corner of our lounge room which is huge by the way. My space lacked suitable shelving so a phone call to our local builing supplier got me some cover sheets of melamine sheeting which is what they use on the out side of the pallet when transporting bulk lots from the producer to the store. so $30 later and some nagging on my part my dad got to work, last week dad finished it and delivered it.Here's a quick pic, mind you it has changed a bit since trying to fit things in the way that it will work for me.
So happy with it!!

YAY!!

I scrapped!! have not felt like scrapping for a while, it was feeling like I'd forgotten how.

But I'm back - first page is of the girls first day back at school
paper is Sassafrass Lass, Satin flowers are hand made by me.

this next one is a sketch challenge over at Purple Pumpkin (click on their button on the left of my blog) really enjoyed doing this page and I am really enjoying scrapping again, hopefully I can keep it up.

Buttons on the top right are Purple Pumpkin as is the twine,Prima flowers,Kaiser flowers, white and baby blue satin flowers are hand made by me.

It is also my birthday today. Celebrated with a BBQ dinner last night with some close family and friends,

Quilt Top

I have been working on a quilt for Stephanie this week bought this fabric about 3 years ago but didn't know what sort of quilt I wanted to make until I saw this tutorial from the Massouri Star Quilt company on Retro Mummy's Blog so this is my take on the Summer in the park quilt.
White and Heart fabric is Timeless Treasures Fabric

Now all I need is to purchase some batting and backing.

Timeless Treasures

I am after some of this fabric...it is by Timeless Treasures, Kidz C-1022.

This week....

I made this sprocket pillow found at Cluck Cluck Sew(click on title for link)
I so love my new 1/4 inch foot,Now I know what all the hype is about....it makes life very easy.Next project a hourglass quilt for Stephanie this has been 3 years in the making and finally I have found the perfect pattern @ the Missouri Star Quilt Company you will find them on You tube there are heaps of tutorials.

also made 4 bibs this week 2 for a friends daughter who turned 1 on monday and 2 for hubby's cousin who welcomed a little girl into the would last week.
