Kind Soul

A layout inspired by Nadia Cannizzo. I love Nadia's work and after watching her tutorials on
You Tube I thought I would give it a go!
Here is what I started with

I kept adding layers of  mists, texture paste and gesso until I was happy
with the background.
I then added some strips of patterned paper and tags I also tore up a paper doily and added some pieces around the edges of where my photo would sit.
Then added clusters of flowers and some journalling also more mist, texture paste and gesso.

I used some Scrappers Garden flowers, D-lish scraps flowers, the metal flourish is from Art Stamps Australia and Daisy D's tags

Scrap around the world

I gave the Scrap around the world challenge set by Leonie Neal-Dawson a go. I Started with the sketch but soon changed my mind and used only the mood board.

This is my take of the Mood board.....I used the tree and the quote as my inspiration

You can't really tell from the photo but the background is a rainbow I used watered down paint in spray bottles I then muted the colours with gesso

Infectious smile

Yay I got to scrapbook this week! I have a heap of new photo's to scrapbook and was itching to use. Last month I dragged the kids to the park to take a few photo's, sometimes they are willing to co-operate other time not so co-operative but I did manage to get some nice photo's
(I did let them have a play on the equipment once we were done).
My little boys personality really shines through in this photo, he has an infectious smile, personality and is very cheeky he has also started walking this past week.

I used washi tape, Freckled Fawn wood chips-frames and small wooden stars all from D-lish scraps .
The big felt star is from Charms Creations.

Charms Creations are also running an auction on the Facebook  page to raise money for Breast Cancer research. I have donated a collection of my Satin flowers for this great cause.

Swing with me

My take on the September sketch at Purple Pumpkin had fun doing this one.
I don't know if I will get any scrapping done in the next little while, while our floor are being replaced. My scrapping corner has be packed into another room while work gets done. I took great care to store it so it can be accessed so I will see how I go.I have a few September challenges lined up that I would like to get done.
