I so love this pattern from The Cottage Mama , I received my pattern  in the week so late last night got to work ~ not a great idea when your tired! This is what I came up with. I'm pleased with how it turned out.

Who will it be??

Who will receive these christmas hearts? This is what I have been working on this week, I joined 2 Christmas swaps one at Clares Craftroom the other at The Haby Goddess. I know who will be receiving one parcel the other is still a mystery!!

These swaps proved to be quite tough. I just couldn't think of  what to make, you see I almost never create any sort of Christmas craft. so after much deliberation and lots of hours browsing online, this is what my swap partners will be receiving.

Fabric Traders

Simone and Jody of Beach Vintage  have recently started a business venture with Fabric Traders. Fabric traders sell a huge range of lovely fabrics from cottons to oil cloth and trims and bias tape which is DEVINE. Bright blue garden fabric would have to be one of my favourites. just love the bright colours and it has butterflies on it thats a winner for me. Thrifty Thursday

I thought I would join in with this weeks thrifty finds.

These finds  were totally unexpected I was on my way home I turned the corner into the street were the our Salvo's store once stood (it got burnt down early this year) to find they are now operating out of the church building.

 Out the front were this coffee table and chairs  I just had to have, Victoria got given a desk for her birthday and she has been using a dining chair  so once I get these chairs cleaned up and painted a lovely shade of white , I can reclaim the dining chair. I think a pretty cushion or chair pad may have to go on my to-do list shortly.

Not bad for $5 a piece

Was lost....

Where oh where did my mojo go... I'm glad it's back, I haven't really done much scrapbooking this year, with Miss Caitlyn being at the age where is rediculous to think that she will sit still for 4 hours at scrap group,I stopped going last christmas so my mojo got lost. Hubby has been on holidays for the last 2 weeks so being the loving, understanding husband that he is he had Caitlyn while I scrapped,this is what i came up with....

1. I don't really think I did this Kaiser overlay justice but being the first page i have scrapped in months I suppose it's ok!


2. I'm so happy with the way this next page turned out used a sketch from The colour rooms current challenge had fun doing it, papers are Kaiser- Miss Nelly Collection.


3. This next page is a scrap lift the original is by the very talented Wendy Bennett
again the papers are Kaiser- Miss Nelly Collection.



So great to have my computer back, from what was supposed to be a 3 day job turned out to be 12 days. So great to be looking at a big screen again and having full access.

I have been without a computer for the last 2 weeks hence no post, the only internet access I have had has been the T Hub which is very limited to what it will allow you to do. Will be back shortly with some layouts and some new items for my store.

Thankyou and the cupboard the dad built!

First and for most a Big Thank you to all the lovely ladies that left comments on my last post it just makes my day to read them....I wanted to thank every one individually but blogger is giving me a hard time it won't allow me to post comments on blogs where to comments are to be left at the bottom of the post but it will if it's a pop out screen or if it's the sort that you write the comment on the side if that makes sense. Can anyone help with this problem????? So thank you, thank you, thank you!!!


Secondly.....
My dad built me a new cupboard to go in my scrap space, my scrap space is a corner of our lounge room which is huge by the way. My space lacked suitable shelving so a phone call to our local builing supplier got me some cover sheets of melamine sheeting which is what they use on the out side of the pallet when transporting bulk lots from the producer to the store. so $30 later and some nagging on my part my dad got to work, last week dad finished it and delivered it.Here's a quick pic, mind you it has changed a bit since trying to fit things in the way that it will work for me.
So happy with it!!

I scrapped!! have not felt like scrapping for a while, it was feeling like I'd forgotten how.

But I'm back - first page is of the girls first day back at school
paper is Sassafrass Lass, Satin flowers are hand made by me.



this next one is a sketch challenge over at Purple Pumpkin (click on their button on the left of my blog) really enjoyed doing this page and I am really enjoying scrapping again, hopefully I can keep it up.


Buttons on the top right are Purple Pumpkin as is the twine,Prima flowers,Kaiser flowers, white and baby blue satin flowers are hand made by me.

Quilt Top

I have been working on a quilt for Stephanie this week bought this fabric about 3 years ago but didn't know what sort of quilt I wanted to make until I saw this tutorial from the Massouri Star Quilt company on Retro Mummy's Blog so this is my take on the Summer in the park quilt.
White and Heart fabric is Timeless Treasures Fabric






Now all I need is to purchase some batting and backing.

This week....

I made this sprocket pillow found at Cluck Cluck Sew(click on title for link)
I so love my new 1/4 inch foot,Now I know what all the hype is about....it makes life very easy.Next project a hourglass quilt for Stephanie this has been 3 years in the making and finally I have found the perfect pattern @ the Missouri Star Quilt Company you will find them on You tube there are heaps of tutorials.



also made 4 bibs this week 2 for a friends daughter who turned 1 on monday and 2 for hubby's cousin who welcomed a little girl into the would last week.



Easter school holidays start here today. So to all enjoy the break.
